Lor publishes essay, poetry, art, review, interview, and prose. We publish content that is short, compelling and experimental.
Lor prioritises contributions by new and emerging writers, writers of colour, LGTBQI writers, marginalised writers, writers living with disability, and writers from regional areas.
Lor only considers previously unpublished work (this includes personal websites and blogs). We don’t accept anything racist, sexist, transphobic, homophobic or ableist.
We accept submissions of prose (up to 1000 words) and poetry (1-3 pieces). We also accept pitches for essay, interview and review.
Send all written submissions as .doc to email@example.com. Please include your name, the title/s and genre of your piece/s, and a bio of no more than 50 words.
Lor is presently a non-paying journal. What we can offer – until we secure funding – is feedback on request and dedicated editing. We extend to our contributors invites and opportunities for readings, events and paid appearances. We also encourage and facilitate community and collaboration between contributors.
It is our overall goal to expand literary community. If you are having trouble connecting with your writing community, we will endeavour to help you find a place there. Get in touch: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Lor relies on the goodwill of artists in order to celebrate their works. All contributors have given their consent for their work to be featured. Copyright remains with them; please seek permission in order to redistribute.
